Mender

Born in the middle-lands, Ash West-Mullen aka Mender has been writing, recording and producing music since he was 11years old when he got hold of a Tascam 4 track, his Dad's 12 string Echo Ranger, a Yamaha keyboard and a Zoom 505 multi-effects pedal.

Since then, Ash West-Mullen has played in numerous bands before he began experimenting with writing electronic music as a means of tempering his other musical attentions.

After 2 years of searching for a distinct style, a blend of acoustic arrangements, subtle synths and programmed/sampled beats has emerged from the chaos...

...he calls it the happy medium.
