Bluebird Handwriting

Bluebird Handwriting is the combined musical creations of Michael Holmes and Josh Rauh. Our collection of music is often inspired by our early childhoods, and the natural world around us. Our songs are generally sporadic in terms of emotion and genre, often shifting between IDM, ambient, breakbeat, and hip hop.

At this point in time we've only been together as a group for about a year, so we're still in the process of developing a definitive sound that is our own. We produce all of our music digitally within propellerhead's Reason 4, in addition to sampled material from other sources and organic sounds recorded from a field recorder.

At the moment we can say we're strongly influenced by artists such as Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, The Flashbulb, Flying Lotus, and My Bloody Valentine. We do hope you enjoy our music, as well as our dedpop release, "Tortulous".
