Are you making the good tunes?

Want to give your music away for free?
Here are the 5 steps to greatness...

1. Make some tunes, 4 is a good amount.

2. Check to see if your tunes are good.

3. If your tunes are good, put them in order, give them proper tracknames and ID3 tags. (Don't send untagged tracks, it bugs me.)

4. Create an archive of the tracks. Try not to use some really obscure file format, it doesn't matter how good your tunes are if they are trapped inside a .nug file or something.

5. Send the archive to demos@dedpop.co.uk via yousendit.com

Things that can improve your chances

1. Including artwork, PSD is best. Nothing copyright infringing. And don't ruin in with crap type. 'k?

2. Asking for honest feedback, and acting on it. If I tell you that the mastering needs some work I'm not being mean. (I'm rubbish at mastering myself - it's hard!)

3. Being a decent human being.
